About The RoleWe are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Keepsafe. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining and building the next generation of our consumer privacy mobile products. You will serve millions of users daily, owning significant portions of our codebase, and working autonomously to design scalable infrastructure and solve complex security challenges. You will collaborate closely with product and design teams to develop innovative features that enhance user privacy and data security. Your expertise will contribute to building core components of our backend systems, improving cloud synchronization, and advancing our security protocols with smart encryption and key management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge security technologies, influence product direction, and have a tangible impact on millions of lives globally.
Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of full-time software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python 3.x development
- Strong understanding of backend development and RESTful API design
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
- Knowledge of DevOps fundamentals, including CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Familiarity with database systems like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Couchbase
- Experience with mobile backend services supporting iOS and Android platforms
- Understanding of security principles, cryptography, and secure coding practices
- Experience with message queues, event-driven architecture, and real-time communication protocols
- Ability to work independently, own projects, and deliver high-quality results
- Interest or experience in application deployment strategies and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain backend services supporting mobile applications on iOS and Android
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3
- Collaborate with product and design teams to develop new features aligned with user privacy and security standards
- Develop and enhance core infrastructure components, including encryption, key management, and secure data synchronization
- Contribute to open source projects and share knowledge with the engineering community
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and performance
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high engineering standards
- Stay updated with the latest security trends and incorporate best practices into the development lifecycle
