About The Role

We are seeking a motivated, customer-oriented Mid-Level Full Stack Java Developer to join our dynamic project delivery teams within our large Enterprise Application Support Program. This remote role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-scale web and batch applications, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of microservice architectures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both front-end and back-end development, utilizing modern frameworks and tools to deliver robust, secure, and scalable software solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or Permanent Resident Aliens (Green Card holders) and capable of obtaining necessary security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a relevant discipline (or 4 years of equivalent professional experience)
• 8+ years of experience in full stack Java development
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Java backend technologies and JavaScript, HTML, CSS for frontend development
• Experience with RESTful API development and web services using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate
• Strong knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Experience implementing server-side logic, database integration, and data flow management
• Proficiency with modern development tools such as Eclipse, Rational Application Developer (RAD), and Atlassian Suite
• Experience with microservice architecture and cloud-native application development
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Security clearance eligibility, including ability to obtain IRS MBI Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservice architecture-based JEE software applications to support enterprise needs
• Develop full-stack web applications, including highly scalable web and batch processing systems
• Participate actively in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Create and enhance front-end applications utilizing React JavaScript frameworks, HTML, and CSS to ensure optimal user experience
• Develop back-end services using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Core Java, JDBC, and RESTful APIs
• Utilize modern software engineering tools for application design, development, and testing, including Eclipse, RAD, and Atlassian tools
• Ensure application security, performance, and reliability through rigorous testing, debugging, and code reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality solutions
• Maintain documentation of system architecture, codebase, and development activities
• Implement client-side validation, event handling, and dynamic content updates to improve application responsiveness
• Monitor application performance and optimize code for scalability and efficiency
• Adhere to security standards and best practices in all development activities
