Staff Data Scientist

Salary: $185k - $220k base + equity

The Role:
As a Staff Data Scientist, youll play a key leadership role on the Data Science team, driving initiatives that enhance machine learning models and services across various domains, including lead scoring or pricing. Youll collaborate with business and engineering stakeholders to turn insights into impactful actions while improving data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. This role also requires strong communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Role Expectations:
Experience building lead scoring or pricing models as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer
Experience in the travel or hospitality space is a huge plus
Lead end-to-end data science initiatives: data gathering, feature engineering, model selection/training, and monitoring
Collaborate with engineering and business teams to drive actionable results
Enhance the companys data science strategy and infrastructure, working closely with analysts and data engineers
Required Skillsets
8+ years experience as a Data Scientist of ML Engineer
Expertise in Python (scikit-learn, numpy, pandas) and SQL
Experience working at high growth, fast paced startups
Subject Matter Expert in developing pricing or lead scoring models
Strong machine learning and statistical modeling skills - strong understanding of when and why to use certain models and how to fine-tune them.
Proven track record of being promoted through your tenure at companies
Experience with Gen AI and working in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
