Salary: $230,000 - $270,000 base + equity


A growing startup is seeking a Director of Data Science & Analytics to lead a high-performing team and foster a data-driven culture that powers strategic decision-making. This client is a rapidly growing travel platform backed by top investors. As they scale, they're looking for a visionary leader to define their analytics strategy and drive data-informed growth.


What You'll Do

  • Mentor and grow a team of senior-level data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and impact.
  • Leverage statistical modeling and machine learning to forecast business trends, optimize pricing, and enhance customer experiences.
  • Design, implement, and analyze experiments to measure the impact of product changes, marketing campaigns, and operational improvements.
  • Define frameworks for data governance, quality, and infrastructure to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of insights across the company.
  • Partner with Product, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to develop key metrics, analyze performance, and provide actionable recommendations.


What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in data analytics or data science, including 4+ years in leadership roles.
  • Strong background in predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and A/B testing methodologies to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven ability to conduct whiteboarding sessions with the team to map out approaches for data science solutions.
  • Must have prior experience working at fast growth, fast moving startups or tech companies that are fast moving.
  • Experience managing teams of 5+ senior-level data scientists
  • Must have experience hiring and firing employees
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights that drive measurable business impact.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and not afraid to push back on leadership (when necessary).
  • Background in B2B SaaS or travel industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field required; Master's or MBA preferred.
