The Sr. Systems Engineer in the Developer Experience group will be responsible for engineering and supporting various technologies and tools to provide best Developer experience for Visas Development community.  

Key responsibilities include:
    Engineer vendor products to Visas environment by installing, upgrading, patching, and maintaining Developer tools. 
    Interface with internal departments such as Cybersecurity and Governance groups to ensure controls are established maintained and complied for all Developer tools.
    Interact with vendors and provide necessary feedback to tailor vendor products to meet Visas needs.
    Develop standards and enforce governance across CICD practices 
    Create and maintain templates and catalogs of pipelines and manage inner sourcing processes 
    Perform regular housekeeping on tools to provide high standards of application stability and reliability.
    Support ongoing Developer Tools projects and provide technical input as needed.
    Support complex technical issues in an interop production environment.
    Participate in L3 on-call support rotation.
Tools Include:
    Project management
    Source code management.
    Build and Deployment management.
    Test and Quality tools.
    Cloud services for DevOps   
    Developer productivity and analytics tools.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Minimum of Bachelors degree or equivalent with 1-2 years of work experience . Any advanced degrees such as Masters/ MBA is a plus.
1+ years of experience working in the capacity of a Devops admin role, build/release/systems engineer, or any other software development related job
Good knowledge as admin or user on at least 5 of the following tools GitHub, GH Actions, CodeFresh ArgoCD, Terraform Env0, Artifactory, ECR, DTR, SonarQube, CheckMarx, Nexus IQ, Jira and Jira Align.
Good working knowledge in the use of software build tools, e.g. maven, npm or Gradle, docker
Prefer to have AWS / GCP / Azure certified
Hands-on experience with Docker & Kubernetes preferred.
Hands on experience with AWS /GCP
Good knowledge in writing pipelines for CI/CD and catalog management
Excellent knowledge in troubleshooting and debugging technical issues.
Excellent knowledge using tools such as Splunk, Graffana, Prometheus, Cloud watch and other monitoring tools.
Experience in using Python/Shell Scripting/PowerShell/Groovy, or any scripting language.
Experience with Java, Golang, or .net programming languages is highly preferred.
Excellent knowledge of DevOps practices and procedures
Proven ability to multi-task
Self-motivated and adaptable to change.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team setting.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 100,000.00 to 141,250.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
