Rust Engineer - Protect artists and creators against AI - $250k + Bonus & Equity

We need a Rust Engineer based in the United States to help us build the next generation of intelligent audio infrastructure. This is a deeply technical and autonomous role, where youll be working alongside some of the brightest minds in AI and audio from Stanford, Queen Mary University of London, and other top engineering institutions. Our team is small, focused, and driven by a shared mission to push the boundaries of real-time sound understanding.

Youll be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance systems in Rust that operate at the intersection of audio signal processing, machine learning, and distributed computing. Our stack is built for speed, safety, and scalability, and we rely on Rusts memory safety and concurrency model to deliver robust software that can handle complex audio data streams in real-world environments. Youll be expected to write clean, idiomatic Rust code, and to contribute to architectural decisions that affect the performance and reliability of our core platform.

Were looking for someone who understands systems programming at a deep levelsomeone who can reason about low-level performance, memory usage, and concurrency, and who has experience building software that interacts with hardware, networks, and real-time data. Youll be working closely with our AI researchers to integrate machine learning models into production pipelines, and with our audio scientists to ensure that our systems meet the demanding requirements of real-time sound analysis.

This role requires a strong understanding of asynchronous programming, multi-threading, and systems-level debugging. You should be comfortable working with audio codecs, streaming protocols, and low-latency data pipelines. Experience with embedded systems, Linux internals, or real-time operating systems is a plus, but not required. What matters most is your ability to think clearly, communicate effectively, and build reliable software that performs under pressure.

We value autonomy and trust our engineers to take ownership of their work. Youll have the freedom to explore new approaches, prototype ideas, and contribute meaningfully to the direction of our technology. We believe in technical excellence, and were committed to creating an environment where engineers can do their best work.

Apply now with your Resume, and lets discuss how you can contribute to our exciting journey!
