ResponsibilitiesConduct data analysis to understand data, provide actionable insights, and measure the data through experimentation and causal inference.Design metrics framework to measure product health, track core metrics, and understand root causes of metric movements.Conduct scientific evaluation with statistical methods, including A/B testing and causal inference.Identify growth opportunities with data analytics and drive business decisions.Partner with Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Research and Development team members to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.Research data science theories and methodology and improve analysis efficiency and data product tools.Work with large, complex data sets to solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems by applying advanced analytical methods as needed.Visualize and synthesize analytics and statistical approaches into easy-to consume storylines for the team to provide indicated actions for executive audiences.Interact cross-functionally, making business recommendations with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information.Mentor junior and intern Data Scientists.
Qualifications
QualificationsMust have a Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelors, progressive related work experience.Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:Mining, preparing, cleansing, and analyzing structured data using statistical computing languages SQL, Python, or R for metrics creation, root cause analysis, and model preprocessing;Leveraging advanced data gathering, processing, and analysis techniques to develop and deliver data-driven recommendations to support business decisions;Designing A/B tests, conducting statistical analysis, and interpreting A/B test results to provide insights for product features; andDeveloping graphical and visual representations of data using business intelligence tool Excel or Tableau.Travel Requirement: International travel required up to 10%.Type: Full time, 40 hours/weekLocation: San Jose, CASalary Range: $275850 - $329333 per yearTo Apply, click the apply button below. Job Information
For Pay TransparencyCompensation Description (Annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $275850 - $329333 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidates qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
