We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer with strong Python and SQL to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ensuring high data quality across our systems. This individual will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL
  • Build scalable data architectures to support reporting, analytics, and machine learning use cases
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and security across platforms
  • Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability
  • Integrate and transform data from a variety of structured and unstructured data sources
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and perform root cause analysis

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in data engineering or a similar role
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation and automation
  • Proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and performance tuning
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Talend, SSIS)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with data warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and best practices
  • Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with streaming data tools (Kafka, Spark Streaming)
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
