About the Role

MathCo is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Architect with deep expertise in Generative AI, backend engineering, and scaling large AI solutions. In this role, you will lead the solution design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge GenAI-powered products in production environments. Youll collaborate closely with data scientists, AI engineers, and product managers to create AI-driven applications that transform business processes and user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and Design AI Systems: Lead the end-to-end architectural design of GenAI-based applications, emphasizing scalability, performance, and security.
• Backend Engineering: Build robust APIs, microservices, and backend systems using modern frameworks and best practices.
• AI Model Integration: Partner with data scientists to integrate LLMs and GenAI models into production, optimizing for efficient inference and customization.
• Full Stack Development: Oversee frontend-backend integration using frameworks like React and Node.js to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Design scalable, cloud-native architectures on AWS, GCP, or Azure, leveraging containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless computing.
• MLOps & DevOps: Implement CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, monitoring, and automation for AI deployments.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor engineering teams, conduct code reviews, drive innovation, and establish best practices in AI engineering.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and business stakeholders to align GenAI capabilities with broader business objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 8+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years focused on AI/ML applications.
• Strong backend development skills with Python, Node.js, and/or Java.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, NLP, and Generative AI frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, OpenAI, LangChain, Langfuse).
• Expertise with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS) and embedding model evaluation.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering, prompt tuning, and deploying production-grade AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Node.js, or Vue.js.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Working knowledge of MLOps practices, including model deployment, scaling, and monitoring.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience leading GenAI, data analytics, or engineering initiatives within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong grasp of bias management, observability, and security best practices in AI systems.
• Proven experience mentoring and leading technical teams.
• Familiarity with multi-modal AI applications (text, image, audio).
• Experience with open-source AI frameworks and offerings (e.g., Mistral, Meta).
