Title: Subsea Engineer Location: Hybrid, Houston, TXDuration: 0-6+ Months (Possible Extension depending on performance)Shift: 1st Shift (M-F, 8AM-5PM)Pay Rate: $200.00/Hour on w2.Duties:High pressure metal annulus seal and wellhead/tree equipment subject matter expertWellhead elastomer seal analysis and design subject matter expertRead and understand company and customer specifications related to product engineeringPerform finite element analysis on assemblies with seal elementsSpecify materials and geometries for metal annulus seals and associated featuresWrite and review qualification test procedures.Support qualification tests within the Houston area.Support troubleshooting of manufacturing and test issues and recommend solutionsProvide expertise and guidance on wellhead seals to less experienced Baker Hughes employees. Qualification:Degreed Engineer 15+ years Oil & Gas industry experience, including experience with API 6A and/or API 17D.Successful PR2F and customer qualification test of new wellhead system sealCompletion of all design verification and validation documents for the new sealWidely recognized subject matter expertise with finite element analysis and wellhead seals (Ansys)Demonstrable prior experience developing new metal seals for wellhead annulus applicationsUnderstanding of vendor capabilities for metal and elastomeric seals.Proficient in ANSYSProficient in typical Microsoft applications, Outlook, Word, ExcelAbility to communicate effectively with engineering and sourcing personnelAbility to follow process map and procedures.Ability to handle multiple priorities at once
