Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in JavaScript or TypeScript and extensive experience in API development to join our growing but dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our applications, ensuring seamless integration with front-end elements, and supporting the overall functionality of our products.
Major Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs using JavaScript to support the functionality of our applications.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
- Integrate with third-party APIs to aggregate data from various sources.
- Implement server-side logic using JavaScript or TypeScript, with a focus on Node.js, or Next.js.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, design, and third-party vendors, to prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality software.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and diagrams for code and APIs, enabling seamless collaboration within the team.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development.
- Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React/Next/Node.
- Strong problem-solving skills; capable of analyzing legacy code, understanding existing functionality, and implementing necessary changes.
- Experience with Jest unit testing.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- From ideation, developed and delivered major infrastructure projects to production.
- Experience with deploying software in AWS environment.
- Experience in the financial or lending industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
