Job Summary:
We are seeking a
Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join our innovative development team within one of the worlds leading financial institutions. This role offers the opportunity to build high-impact technology solutions that support critical financial systems. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on technical experience with strong problem-solving and analytical skillsand thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This is a contract, hybrid position based in
Lake Mary, FL, where youll contribute to building scalable, resilient, and secure applications across complex financial platforms. Youll partner closely with architects, product owners, and fellow engineers to design and deliver next-generation tools in alignment with our enterprise technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain enterprise-level applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, NoSQL/Relational Databases, and modern front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
- Business-Focused Engineering: Understand and analyze complex business needs before moving into design and implementation phases. Ensure all technical decisions are grounded in business value.
- End-to-End Ownership: Take initiative across the full development lifecyclefrom solution design and prototyping to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Contribute to a high-quality codebase through code reviews, debugging, and adherence to defined architecture and development standards.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with internal teams, technical architects, and project managers to align on technical design, development milestones, and delivery timelines.
- Environment Management: Assist in managing the technical environment including software integration points, data models, and middleware components.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that support improved analytics, application performance, or development workflows.
Qualifications:
- 79 years of professional software development experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Angular or React
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile practices
- Ability to take ownership of tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to connect technical execution to business outcomes
- Experience in code reviews, collaborative debugging, and shared development pipelines
Preferred Experience & Technologies:
- Experience with Kafka, MQ, or other messaging platforms
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and high-resiliency design principles
- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Git
- Background in financial services or securities trading systems is a strong plus
