Job Summary:
We are seeking a
Strategic Project Manager with deep experience in financial services to support the Corporate Trust Engineering group on a range of high-impact initiatives. This role is responsible for managing strategic workstreams across Conventional Trust and Structured Debt platforms, including the development of executive-level presentations, complex data synthesis, and project execution in a highly dynamic environment.
The Project Manager will work directly with senior leadership, including the CIO of Structured Debt, and will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. This position requires a seasoned professional who can operate autonomously, navigate complex client needs, and deliver results at an enterprise scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Project Execution: Oversee and drive key workstreams tied to Conventional Trust and Structured Debt initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology strategies.
- Data Analysis & Storytelling: Analyze and synthesize headcount data, financial reports, and operational metrics; build compelling, executive-ready narratives using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Presentation Development: Own the creation of strategic platform presentations used for senior leadership and external client briefings.
- Client-Facing Coordination: Act as a central point of contact for senior clientsensuring all requests, deliverables, and communications are timely, clear, and professionally handled.
- Stakeholder Management: Interface with multiple internal business units (e.g., Credit Services, Platform Operations) to consolidate, prioritize, and streamline requests from the Conventional Trust Hub.
- Solution-Oriented Leadership: Translate ambiguous business needs into structured deliverables; propose innovative solutions rather than relying solely on direction from leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with CIO and the Strategic Lead to manage day-to-day execution while contributing to long-term planning and decision-making.
- Ad-Hoc Reporting: Generate reports and analysis in response to senior management inquiries, with quick turnaround and high accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or related field required
- 5+ years of experience in project management within financial services
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skillsmust be comfortable presenting to Managing Directors and C-level executives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, spot trends, and translate findings into business insights
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and demanding clients in a high-pressure environment
- Highly autonomous, self-starting professional who thrives with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with structured debt, credit services, or conventional loan platforms is strongly preferred
- Excel: Advanced skills requiredmust be able to perform vLookups, apply formulas, and build data narratives
- PowerPoint: Must be able to independently develop high-quality presentation decks
- Bonus: Familiarity or exposure to AI tools, especially in data aggregation or presentation enhancement
Preferred Experience:
- Background in Credit Services, including compounding interest and ROI analysis
- Experience supporting enterprise-level technology platforms
- Understanding of executive reporting dynamics and how to tailor messages for senior audiences
- Comfortable managing requests across a large organizational structure (~250+ employees)
- Familiarity with governance around financial technology operations
