Qualifications

  • Over 1 year of experience in data engineering, backend engineering, or related roles (internship or full-time, regardless of location)
  • Proficiency in Python (required) and familiarity with Java/Scala (preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with web scraping frameworks (Scrapy, Playwright, Selenium) and API integration
  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Luigi, or similar)
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery, or similar) and cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a remote team environment
  • Bonus: Interest or experience in generative AI, job recommendation systems, or large-scale data pipelines

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain data pipelines to fetch job postings from 10k+ career sites
  • Implement web scraping and API-based ingestion systems to collect and normalize job data
  • Clean, standardize, and deduplicate datasets (job titles, companies, locations, salaries)
  • Build and manage storage solutions (SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud-based data lakes)
  • Develop and optimize workflow orchestration for large-scale scheduling (Airflow, Prefect, Spark)
  • Monitor, debug, and improve pipeline reliability, scalability, and performance
