SMUD is a local electrical provider for a large portion of greater Sacramento. The only beneficial industry experience would be with electric utilities.

A public sector communications technology team is seeking a Genesys Cloud CX Developer to support ongoing enhancements and integrations related to contact center technologies. This includes work with IVR/Chatbot interaction flow development, digital messaging, and related reporting enhancements.

This role is ideal for a developer with strong hands-on Genesys Architect experience and a solid understanding of contact center operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain interaction flows in Genesys Architect for Voice, Web Chat, SMS, and other channels.
  • Build and integrate voice and digital bots using Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and Directed Dialog.
  • Implement automated services for IVR and Chatbot functions and configure ACD call routing.
  • Work with REST APIs via Genesys Data Actions to retrieve or post data to JSON-based web services.
  • Configure authentication methods such as API tokens or OAuth.
  • Migrate flows between development and production tenants.
  • Troubleshoot and test Genesys flows to ensure optimal performance.
  • Integrate third-party modules (e.g., Google Dialogflow) into Genesys workflows.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience using Genesys Cloud CX Architect.
  • 5+ years of experience working in contact center environments.
  • Proficiency in REST API integrations within Genesys.
  • Familiarity with chatbot flow design and deployment.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve flow and configuration issues.
  • Prior development experience with interaction channels including IVR, Chat, SMS, Email, and Voice.
  • Experience with Genesys Workforce Optimization (WFO) tools.
  • Exposure to Avaya Aura Unified Communications environment.
