Why this role exists
This program helps improve how federal healthcare data is collected, shared, and used. It needs clear decisions and clear requirements. Thats where you come in.
Role summary
You will connect business leaders and delivery teams. You will turn real needs into clear work the team can build and test. You will map how work happens today, design a better way for tomorrow, and keep everyone aligned as we deliver. You will also keep our work easy to follow in Jira and Confluence. Your notes and records will help with audits and program reviews.
What you will do
- Lead discovery. You will run interviews and workshops. You will ask the right questions and capture what matters.
- Write clear requirements. You will break large needs into smaller pieces the team can deliver.
- Create epics and user stories. (An epic is a large piece of work. A user story is a small, testable slice of it.)
- Write acceptance criteria. These are simple pass/fail rules that show when work is done.
- Map business processes. You will document the current state and design the future state. You will call out gaps, handoffs, risks, and controls.
- Manage the backlog. (This is the ranked list of work.) You will keep it clean, current, and easy to understand.
- Support delivery. You will help the team plan work in short cycles. You will help remove blockers and keep scope clear.
- Keep Jira and Confluence accurate. You will maintain tickets, pages, decisions, and links so anyone can trace why to what we built.
- Support testing. You will help define test cases, data checks, and fixes. You will support final testing with users and triage defects.
- Protect sensitive data. You will follow privacy and security rules when work touches health or personal data.
