Job Description
We are seeking a Customer & HR Data Analyst to serve as the critical link between raw HR and customer data and business decision-making. This role focuses on data interpretation, business context, and clarity rather than data engineering or dashboard development. The ideal candidate brings strong domain knowledge, hands-on experience with Workday data, and the ability to clearly explain complex data concepts to business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate HR and customer data into actionable insights
- Analyze and interpret data from multiple enterprise systems, including:
- Workday HR System
- Customer Central
- Customer Data Warehouse
- Toyota Big Data Platform
- Validate and review data intake requests for new datasets
- Refine and document business definitions, metadata, and data descriptions
- Ensure data completeness, accuracy, and readiness for enterprise use
- Provide clear explanations of data elements, hierarchies, and relationships across systems
- Act as a subject-matter advisor to guide teams on proper data usage and interpretation
Technical Environment
- Toyota Big Data Platform (AWS-based, primarily S3 storage)
- SQL-based querying tools (DB Visualizer or similar)
- Exposure to web services and APIs for data exchange and integration
Required Qualifications
- Strong domain expertise in HR and customer data processes
- Hands-on experience working with Workday data (no training ramp provided)
- Working knowledge of:
- SQL and data querying concepts
- AWS services (S3 required; ECS/EKS and AWS SDK are a plus)
- Ability to independently analyze and interpret enterprise-scale datasets
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience working in large, enterprise data environments
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $47.04 - $70.00 per hour
