The incumbent will contribute to the design and development of robust analytics with practical business impact, working closely with senior analysts in a cooperative team environment.
Position Summary:
We are looking for an Associate Data Scientist with a passion for uncovering stories hidden in healthcare data. This role is ideal for someone who not only excels in data science techniques but also has the ability to translate complex analyses into compelling insights that drive business and clinical decisions. You will work with diverse healthcare datasets, leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to generate meaningful recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets (claims, clinical, patient outcomes, etc.) to identify trends and insights.
Develop and implement predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analyses to drive data-driven decision-making.
Translate complex data findings into clear, compelling narratives for business and clinical stakeholders.
Build interactive visualizations and dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to communicate insights effectively.
Work cross-functionally with data engineers, clinicians, and business leaders to apply data science solutions to real-world healthcare challenges.
Stay up-to-date with AI, ML, and data science trends in healthcare to continuously improve analytical approaches.
Requirements
1-3 years of experience in data science, healthcare analytics, or a related field.
Proficiency in Python and/or R for statistical modeling and machine learning.
Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Strong skills in data storytelling and visualization (Tableau, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Power BI).
Knowledge of healthcare datasets (e.g., claims, EHR, clinical trials, social determinants of health).
Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and impactful way.
Bonus: Experience with NLP, deep learning, or AI applications in healthcare.
The actual salary an employee can expect to receive, plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable, will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. Base salary range: 90k 125k base
