About The Role

We are looking for a Founding Full Stack Engineer (our first-hire) who is eager to build and iterate on our flagship marketing compliance platform. Youll work closely with the founder to bring our vision to life, create technical strategy, and help establish a robust development culture.

This role is ideal for someone interested in being a founder, who thrives in an early-stage startup environment, wants to build a massive company, and has the technical chops to build scalable systems from scratch. We see this role eventually scaling into a VP of Technology or CTO role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of Warrant's core platform, including front-end, back-end, AI/ML, and integrations with third-party tools (e.g., Slack, Chrome).
• Build features that simplify compliance workflows, enhance user experience, and deliver measurable customer value.
• Define and implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with CEO to prioritize product roadmaps and set engineering goals.
• Optimize platform performance, scalability, and security to meet the needs of mid-to-large enterprises.
• Document technical decisions and contribute to Warrants evolving tech playbook.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback and iterate on solutions.
• Mentor future engineering hires and help establish a high-performing technical team.

Tech Stack:

Our current tech consists of Python, Django, Javascript, AWS, OpenAI, and Digital Ocean. Youll have the flexibility to shape this stack as we grow.

Who We're Looking For:

Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, previously worked as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in modern web frameworks (Django, NextJs) and backend languages (Python)
• Experience building 0 to 1 scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
• Strong understanding of database design, architecture, and AWS/Digital Ocean
• Be obsessed with shipping and high engineering velocity, while maintaining high stability.
• A customer-first mindset with an eye for clean, intuitive design.
• Passionate about how to use AI/ML to solve problems for customers
• Strong communicator and leader who is interested in hiring/mentoring and growing into a CTO role

Nice-to-Haves:

• You are an ex-founder who is looking to join a hyper-growth startup or were previously a founding engineer
• Have shipped production LLM apps that people use and fluent in model-based evals, observability, and prompt optimization work
• Experience with integrations into third-party tools (e.g., Slack, Chrome extensions).
• Experience working in fintech, financial services, or healthcare
