THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE 

 

The OpEx Project Manager will play a pivotal role in building and driving some of the most complex process improvement initiatives as part of Ulta Beauty’s People Success Strategy, Systems, and OpEx team. This role will be responsible for leading a portfolio of cross-functional, improvement initiatives for People Success (HR) using various Lean and/or Six Signa methodologies to enhance processes and deliver on People Success’s strategic and financial objectives.

 

The OpEx Project Manager must demonstrate a critical blend of both strong project management and cross-functional leadership capabilities and have a strong track record of leading multiple projects simultaneously while driving successful results in a retail, operational, or service-related industry. The ideal candidate must have the ability to build effective yet simple business processes, influence, advise and manage multiple stakeholders of all levels. This role will report directly into the Sr. Project Manager Strategy & Innovation.

 

 

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

  • Manage the execution of large scale, highly complex improvement initiatives, serving as a strategic and executional partner to People Success teams.
  • Engage sponsors, process owners, team members and stakeholders to deliver performance improvement using process improvement tools, methods, and concepts, while providing leadership and advice on these technical areas.
  • Identify, scope, and prioritize improvement opportunities linked to the organization’s operating and strategic objectives.
  • Lead workshops and Kaizen events for cross-functional project teams & stakeholders to identify root causes and improvement opportunities, determine improvement strategies, and guide the execution of the improvement effort.
  • Collect and analyze data to support successful execution of process improvement initiatives.
  • Measure the effect of process changes and accurately quantify the impact.
  • Influence key stakeholders to achieve results in an autonomous manner.
  • Work in close collaboration with key partners in People Success and HRIT to align improvement roadmaps and connect the dots on related initiatives.
  • Provide timely communications to project leadership and key stakeholders on overall status and roadmap for key strategic programs.
  • Support the development of process improvement capability in People Success and in alignment with enterprise best practices.

 

THE ESSENTIALS OF SUCCESS 

 

  • 3+ years of experience as a Lean Six Sigma practitioner in a service or transactional setting.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, change management and/or strategic project planning.
  • Experience automating and streamlining processes through system or technology solutions.
  • Experience facilitating and leading teams to execute highly complex initiatives and Kaizen events of significant scope, scale, and risk.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to share ideas and information across diverse audiences to drive to business decisions. Ability to synthesize clearly and simplify the complex.

The pay range for this position is $88,200.00 - $135,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Companys bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
