What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Conduct data mining, preparation, and reporting to support client needs
Prepare and perform analyses, assessments, and recommendations based on data findings
Document and summarize results, developing solutions to client challenges
Support data science projects as a key team member, assisting data scientists and consultants
Implement data models and provide database support for customer solutions
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in applied research, big data analytics, or a similar quantitative discipline, with at least two (2) years in applied data science research
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a closely related field; Master's degree may substitute for up to two (2) years of experience
Strong SQL skills and experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, and PowerBI
Knowledge of data mining methods and experience with analytic techniques like anomaly detection and time-series analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Expertise with Qlik and experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, and geospatial analytics
Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, or other parallel storage/computing processes
Experience with natural language processing (NLP) concepts and techniques
