Were looking for a People & Culture Generalist / Housing Coordinator to support our resort team members and oversee our on-site employee housing operations. This role blends HR generalist responsibilities, visa-program support, and day-to-day housing coordination to ensure our team members feel welcomed, supported, and set up for successboth at work and at home.

The ideal candidate is organized, people-focused, and able to balance HR sensitivity with the operational needs of our staff housing community. Experience with international visa programs (J-1, H-2B, etc.) is highly preferred.

Description:

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Recruits, interviews, and assists the recruiting manager to find qualified job applicants for open positions, including international visa candidates.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the J-1, H-2B, and other visa programs, including application support, onboarding, compliance tracking, and liaison with sponsoring agencies.
  • Maintains and updates visa employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance with USCIS, DOL, and program sponsor requirements.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications, including I-9 and E-Verify processes.
  • Assists with new hire orientation, including tailored orientation sessions for visa employees to support cultural integration and program understanding.
  • Supports employee recognition programs, with consideration of cultural inclusion and diversity.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of J-1, H-2B, and related visa programs, including legal changes, sponsor guidelines, and best practices.
  • Acts as manager in charge of Staff Housing and chairs the Housing Committee.
  • Assigns housing units to new residents and manages the occupancy list to ensure efficient use of the housing facility.
  • Works closely with the resident housing manager and the engineering and landscaping departments to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of the units, public bathrooms, and surrounding grounds.
  • Maintains an inventory of all furnishings and housewares; records losses for proper charge-off to employees, departments, or the Resort.
  • Schedules and conducts routine and surprise inspections of all units monthly and as needed, in conjunction with the Housing Committee.
  • Conducts final inspections when employees leave, evaluates unit condition, and determines deposit refunds as appropriate.
  • Ensures all housing policies and regulations are followed by residents. Takes disciplinary action, including eviction, when necessary with assistance from the HR Director.
  • Develops and manages a recreational activity schedule for Housing residents, fostering engagement especially for international team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Ad Hoc Office Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks as needed to support the accounting department's operational needs. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records. Support special projects, such as system implementations or process improvements.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Education And Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Experience with international employee visa programs strongly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
  • While this is an office position, housing duties require walking and driving a golf cart.
  • Valid Driver Licence
