Project Engineer (MTA) - Position Overview: We are seeking a Project Engineer with experience in Heavy Civil Construction and Civil Construction for a variety of projects with the MTA, NYCTA, and the Department of Transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining project documents, responding to RFIs and Submittals, and ensuring successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the successful completion of DOT, MTA, NYCTA, Rail, and Subway projects
- Developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Coordinating with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Maintaining and updating accurate project documents and records
- Providing engineering support during all phases of project life
- Participating in project meetings and providing project feedback
- Responding to RFIs and Submittals
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely completion
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction and Civil Construction
- Strong knowledge and experience with the DOT, MTA, NYCTA, Rail, and Subway projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong technical aptitude and computer literacy
