We are seeking a skilled and experienced Director, DevOps to join our dynamic engineering team. The DevOps Director will be responsible for overseeing and leading the DevOps team to ensure efficient automation, deployment, and operational stability across our systems. You will play a critical role in improving the development of lifecycle, infrastructure, and tools while driving innovation and best practices in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
- Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead, mentor, and grow the DevOps team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and develop top DevOps talent.
- Provide guidance on the technical and professional growth of team members.
- Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and platform/tooling budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations and optimized cost to serve.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management:

- Design, implement, and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Oversee the configuration and integration of new tools to streamline deployment processes.
- Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for efficiency, speed, and reliability.
- Cloud Infrastructure & Automation:

- Lead the deployment and management of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- Drive automation in infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.
- Ensure that the infrastructure is resilient, secure, and cost-efficient.
- Security & Compliance Collaboration

- Partner closely with Cybersecurity to identify risks, remediate vulnerabilities, and improve overall cloud security posture.
- Ensure security-related issues are prioritized, tracked, and remediated in a timely manner.
- Align platform and operational practices with evolving security requirements and compliance frameworks such as SOC2.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:

- Work closely with Development, Quality Assurance, and IT Operations teams to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Advocate for best practices in code deployments, monitoring, and automation.
- Serve as the point of contact for any operational issues that require DevOps expertise.
- Proactive Monitoring:

- Proactively monitor user activity and system performance to identify and address potential issues before they impact the user experience, ensuring high availability and minimal disruptions across production environments.
- Orchestrate discussions with engineering, architecture, cyber, and data to ensure best practices and remediation.
- Incident Management:

- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies to ensure high availability and performance of production systems.
- Manage incident response processes, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Play an integral role in shaping the production support structure by providing strategic leadership, driving process improvements, and ensuring alignment with business goals to deliver seamless support operations and optimize system reliability.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and cost savings in development and operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in the DevOps function.
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or related IT roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Expertise in version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.).
- Expertise with monitoring and logging tools (New Relic, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
- Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Proactive in identifying and solving issues before they impact the business.
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or other cloud platforms.
- Experience in managing large-scale, production-grade systems with high availability.
- Understanding of security best practices in a cloud-native environment.

The total rewards expected for this role include:
- Starting annual base salary between $145,000 - $182,500.
