Senior Salesforce Engineer

Overview:

Brooksource is seeking a highly skilled Senior Salesforce Engineer to support a lean, high-impact platform operations team at one of our Enterprise Retail(Grocery) clients. With over 150 custom-built applications running on Salesforce, this role is critical to scaling development capacity and improving testing capabilities. Youll join a 6-person team managing the backend of the Salesforce platform, enabling internal teams to develop and maintain production-grade applications across the business.


This is a hands-on development role focused on Apex, JavaScript, and API integrations.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain custom Salesforce applications using Apex and JavaScript
  • Build and implement robust automated test suites to improve code quality and deployment confidence
  • Support and contribute to the Workday-to-Salesforce integration efforts
  • Develop and consume Web APIs, working with JSON payloads and standard REST principles
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams using GitLab for CI/CD, version control, and release processes
  • Participate in a small, high-ownership engineering team supporting a platform that runs hundreds of internal apps


Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
  • Strong command of Apex, Lightning components, and Visualforce
  • Experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks within Salesforce
  • Proficient in JavaScript and integrating web technologies in the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Familiar with RESTful APIs, data exchange formats (JSON), and API authentication methods
  • Git-based workflows with tools like GitLab


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience scripting with Python
  • Familiarity with StackStorm or similar job automation/orchestration systems
  • Background working on Workday integrations or other enterprise SaaS-to-SaaS data sync projects
  • Exposure to Salesforce DevOps tools and methodologies (Salesforce DX, scratch orgs, etc.)
