Kforce has a client in Lenexa, KS that is looking for a Data Engineer for a 100% onsite 6-month contract to hire or direct hire opportunity. Data Architecture and Management:* Design, collaborate, implement, and maintain data architecture solutions that support business objectives and data strategy* Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, quality, and reliability* Maintain and update data infrastructure, including data warehouses, databases, and data lakesData Analysis and Integration:* Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions* Integrate data from various sources to create comprehensive data solutions that meet stakeholder needs* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data integration strategiesAzure and SQL Expertise:* Utilize Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database) to develop scalable data solutions* Employ SQL for data querying, analysis, and optimization of data models* Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulationsContinuous Improvement:* Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering* Recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and performance* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field* Proven experience (5+ years) in data engineering and architecture* Strong understanding of data analysis principles, data modeling, and ETL processes* Proficiency in Azure services, ADF, Azure SQL, SQL, and data integration tools* In-depth knowledge of relational and non-relational database management systems* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights, both written and verbally* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Ability to efficiently work with interdepartmental teams and other internal stakeholders * Reflects the qualities of "hungry, humble, and smart"Preferred:* Master's degree* Professional certification in data engineering (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is highly desirable
