Genetic testing service cuts 23 jobs, CEO steps down as patient volume grows

The moves come as Genome Medical has brought on new customers. Invitae Corp. (NYSE: NVTA) had shifted some of its genetic testing work to Genome Medical after that genetic testing pioneer this summer decided to cut 1,000 jobs and realign operations, the bulk of those job losses coming in San Francisco.
