Back End Developer

Role - Senior Backend Engineer

Location: 100% remote.

Contract duration: 18+ months

Interview Process: 1hr MS Teams Video call. Candidate can be asked to demonstrate coding capabilities.

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer Specializing in Cloud Services to contribute to the design and development of digital solutions supporting both customers and store associations across online and instore experiences. Your roll will involve architecting and building an omni channel digital platform utilizing top tier frameworks, platforms, and technologies, prominently including AWS Services, Node.JS and typescript.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop applications using AWS Lambdas written in Typescript, and other AWS services
• Collaborate with developers, architects, product managers and product owners

Experience:

• Hold a bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent field
• Possess over 5 years of experience delivering web and mobile applications.
• Demonstrate proficient as a hands-on engineer in typescript/JavaScript
• Skilled in AWS Serverless cloud-native services, including lambda functions, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB and API Gateway
• Ability to independently develop end to end solutions
• Full stack experience is an advantage but not mandatory
• Proficiency in building scalable, high performance Web APIS (REST) and API management, with hands on experience in Java with Spring boot or node.js with JavaScript/typescript
• Knowledge of caching frameworks, data structures and distributed fundamentals
• Understanding of databases, NoSQL data stores, storage and distributed persistence technologies
• Experience with automate testing, deployment pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
