What you'll do
Work in a team of talented developers across the US in a remote working environment.

With a clear and empathetic approach, you will help share knowledge, and be proactive in helping fellow developers, providing high-quality PR reviews, and feedback.
Have a keen eye on improving developer productivity.
Have a desire to write high quality technical documentation in proposal stage and post-implementation.
Be curious on new developments and technologies within the Android ecosystem and be sharing these with the internal Android developer community at Ford.
Be familiar with UI and UX patterns, having built fluid interactions, screens, and graphics.
Have passion and experience with accessibility best practices.
You'll have
5+ years of Software Engineering and implementation experience in Android (Kotlin and Java).
Experience and desire to deliver an exceptional product to customers around the world.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your communication style to the audience and influence peers cross-functionally.
Demonstrated ability to work in robust and fast paced environment targeting a major transformation.
Experience building and shipping production grade software or services.
A strong software testing ethos and preference for working in an agile environment.
Have a deep desire to work closely, solve problems with groups, find win/win solutions and celebrate successes with other smart engineers.
Strong attention to detail and execution; you take your features all the way with strong debugging and testing skills.
Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience.

Experience working in CI/CD environments
Experience with MVP and MVVM patterns, dependency injection, Jetpack Compose and TDD.
Passion for continuous self-development. Must have learnt something new in the past 6-8 months.
Strong knowledge of security best practices
Familiarity with audio and camera inputs, APIs, cloud messaging
Experience using code versioning tools for e.g., Git
Working with logging and monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
Masters degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
