How will you make an impact?

Reporting into the eBusiness Analytics team in Digital Commerce, the Sr Web Data Analyst will provide analytics support for Thermo Fishers eCommerce platforms. This analytics team is part of a larger organization called eBusiness responsible for the overall digital experience Thermo Fisher provides for our customers. Our goal is to build an industry-leading digital customer experience that facilitates scientific planning, execution, and analysis with a flawless transactional experience across the digital ecosystem. As part of the Analytics team, you will be responsible for analytics, reporting, consolidation, forecasting, and planning - as well as deriving actionable insights that help drive efficiency, productivity, and revenue. The ideal candidate will have good eye for business, communication skills, and be technically adept at providing analytical solutions.

What will you do?

  • Identify, trends, outliers, and patterns that uncover new insights to advise eBusiness on features driving the self-help customer experience
  • Mining Adobe click data and stitching with other source data to articulate the customer self-help journey.
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications.
  • Experience with crafting project road maps and agile processes/framework
  • Knowledge and familiarity with back-end Adobe Analytics
  • Derive data-driven insights to expose opportunities for two eBusiness teams to reduce offline contact rate.
  • Be able to articulate a story using analytics that identifies customer friction points & opportunities
  • Work with a newly formed cross-functional team to help drive a self-service feature roadmap by defining the highest opportunity areas.
  • Work toward real-time reporting to catch problems as they occur and drive corrective actions
  • Leverage visualization tools such as PowerBI to help businesses and senior leaders understand the impact of found opportunities
  • Develop and maintain ongoing reports/dashboards as well as ad hoc analyses
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g., reporting tools)
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power BI / Tableau)
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation
  • Report curation and data modeling

Domestic and international travel of less than 10% of the time

How will you get there?


  • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.


  • 5+ years of demonstrated ability analyzing large, sophisticated data sets yielding opportunities for revenue and/or process improvement within an organization
  • Knowledge of R, SAS, SPSS, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, and Adobe a plus
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology a plus
