What You'll Do
The project financial analyst works closely with the project management team and is responsible for reviewing, analyzing and reporting on all financial aspects of assigned customer projects.
  • Gather, track, prepare and analyze project variance reports comparing actual and projected results to budget.
  • Research and comment on monthly margin changes by project.
  • Understand project cost variance drivers.
  • Report on project specific cost reduction initiatives.
  • Actively participate in customer project review meetings with senior management.
  • Ensure all contract terms are followed regarding billing and schedules.
  • Perform internal audit of actual project costs on a quarterly basis.
  • Provide auditors with all necessary documentation and explanation as needed.
What You'll Need
  • BS/BA degree in finance or accounting.
  • 3-5+ years of project financial analysis, project accounting or related experience.
  • Experience in accounting for and reporting on multiple large (over $1 million) concurrent projects.
  • Must understand advanced methodologies for project budgeting, actual cost accumulation, projections of cost to complete, variance analysis and accounting controls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Thrives in a complex, fast-paced and potentially ambiguous environment.
