Business Analyst Manager/IT Project Manager 2, Office of Project Management, PN 20064553(2200067M)
Based on job duties, this position is designated as telework eligible on a hybrid basis (i.e., working at least 2 days per week in the office); the selected applicant must complete the initial training period prior to being eligible to telework. All requests to telework are reviewed and must be approved by ODOTs Chief Human Resources Officer.

Official Position Description:
Manages assigned project(s) with or without sub-projects, that covers all phases of project management, with activities & responsibilities involving organizations\entities external to ODOT & whose primary stakeholders are executives &\or local (e.g., county, city) political organizations\individuals; works directly with agency executives & organizations responsible for service\product delivery; focuses on coordination of projects with other services\projects; assists in writing, implementing, & monitoring policy & ensure compliance & market benefits to organizations/executive management. Defines project requirements, quality standards & timelines; determines & evaluates risks that may affect project; defines specific activities to be performed to produce project deliverables; evaluates deliverables & ensures project is ready to move on to its next phase; addresses any problems found in testing/piloting; ensures scheduled time frames are met. Supervises assigned personnel (e.g., provides developmental opportunities, coaches staff to foster development & job satisfaction, assigns work, evaluates performance, recommends discipline, if necessary, provides feedback).
Defines & communicates progress reports & provides input for technical & system documentation. Prepares & presents training courses, conferences &/or project status reports. Implements & coordinates project phases; coordinates multitude of tasks or subprojects with stake holders inside & outside projects; Interviews stakeholders to determine needs & expectations & maintains regular contact with stakeholders to market product or service & obtain feedback which involves independent direct involvement with local stakeholders as necessary; manages & negotiates change (e.g., cost, assignments, objectives) within assigned project(s); determines need for division of given project into subprojects, distribution of work for subprojects (e.g., outside source), & oversees activities conducted within each subproject. Manages change control processes to ensure all policies & procedures are followed. Attends meetings, conferences &/or workshops on related topics; performs other work-related duties as assigned.

All bargaining unit and exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a one year probationary period.
If this position is filled internally, the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code.
This position has been designated as a Career Professional position per the Ohio Revised Code 5501.20.
All exempt promotions are required to serve a 6 month probationary period.
This position is overtime exempt based on FLSA Standards.
