Responsibilities
Design and maintain data warehouse using Redshift.
Use dimensional modeling and Kimball methodology to design and optimize data structures in dbt.
Write optimized SQL queries to extract data and perform data analysis.
Develop Looker dashboards and reports using LookML to enable stakeholders and customers to access and analyze data easily.
Establishes methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.
Oversees the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
Develop testing criteria to guarantee the fidelity and performance of data analytics solutions.
Implements data management processes, procedures, and decision support.
Implements Data Catalog, a scalable resource to support Self-Service and Single-source-of-truth analytics.
Work with data governance, customer success and product reporting teams to build out advanced analytics and reporting dashboards leveraging tools such as Looker
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Continuously monitor and optimize query performance for large data sets.
Research emerging trends and best of breed solutions for data modeling, data contextualization, and predictive analytics.
Understanding of distributed computing principles.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and ETL/ELT development.
Strong experience with data warehouse (Redshift, Snowflake or BigQuery) and Modern data stack.
Strong experience with creating dashboards using BI tools like Looker, Tableau, PowerBI.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and query optimization.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of AWS, CICD, Git.
Hands-on knowledge of data modeling, data profiling or data parsing and data migration.
Experience with conducting studies, rapid pilots, PoCs, prototypes, and identifying metrics.
Experience identifying & implementing best practices on data quality issues, root causes, and remedies.
Experience developing scalable and reliable automated tests and data reconciliation scripts.
Experience working directly with business teams and leaders to understand requirements and communicate results.
Preferred
Programming experience with Python is highly desirable
Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Experience with dbt
Experience with Looker and/or LookML
Experience with Redshift
Experience with user behavior data (Google Analytics; Snowplow; etc)
Experience with dimensional modeling and Kimball methodology

Compensation and Benefits
The target total compensation for this role is $92,600 - $123,500. Compensation will be based upon experience.
