Overview

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to be responsible for the most strategic component of Pearson’s new flagship product right at the center of the strategy to drive growth. This individual will be defining and managing the roadmap for the central hub of Pearson+ on web and mobile, ensuring that each user’s Pearson+ experience is personalized to help them on their unique journey. This means partnering closely with internal product teams and developing a deep understanding of the various offerings within Pearson+ to understand how best to present this to users in a way that feels relevant and meaningful to them.

What you'll do:

You'll lead the strategy for and development of personalized features to ensure users always find what they need. Specifically, you will:

  • Define roadmaps for personalization within authenticated home based on user needs and technical feasibility.
  • Define roadmaps for integration of new features and benefits within authenticated home.
  • Define and analyze key performance metrics, and use this data to identify compelling opportunities, improve user experiences and produce better results.
  • Develop clear hypotheses to experiment on the surface; work closely with data scientists to build experiments and validate these hypotheses and collaborate with user researchers to qualitatively validate user needs.
  • Work with design and engineering teams to ideate features based on user needs, test them and launch successful ones.
  • Collaborate with other product teams to connect authenticated home personalization with other product levers (e.g., marketing emails, product registration, channels, eTextbooks) to form a healthy feedback loop.
  • Be a champion of personalization features on authenticated home and communicate insights internally early and often.

  • Substantial product management or adjacent experience.
  • Experience with and a passion for user-centered design.
  • Experience with personalization products.
  • Strong written and communication skills for both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Nice to have: Experience working with algorithmic recommendations and/or Machine Learning enabled products.
