The Project Manager will fully manage the healthcare project from start to finish. Tasks will include maintaining client relationships, scheduling, and completing all aspects of the project on time and within budget. Focusing on ground-up and TI healthcare projects, you will work as a team player. This position has a lot of room for growth to executive levels.

Client Details

Our client is a Portland-based GC with multiple healthcare projects in the greater Portland area. Established a great reputation primarily focusing on multifamily and commercial projects.


Responsibilities Will Include But Will Not Be Limited To:

  • Management of multiple assigned projects and on-site installations
  • Oversee any change orders request and approve appropriately
  • Ability to maintain project schedules, budgets, compliance effectively
  • Maintain and review all subcontractor and vendor invoices throughout project life cycle
  • Communicating directly with on-site staff including the Superintendent and Subcontractors to go over full details of project cost, staffing for individual projects, as well as scheduling
  • Develop and maintain existing client and subcontractor relationships
  • Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions
  • Proactively identify design deficiencies, schedule concerns, and other project specific issues
  • Enforce safety protocols to ensure job site consistently meets or exceeds OSHA safety standards
  • Have a thorough understanding of interpreting plans and specs for building and construction


Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of experience in construction working for a GC, including experience managing start to finish healthcare projects
  • Proven track record of effective people management
  • High attention to detail regarding project organization
  • Career oriented individual who wants to progress further in their career and take on additional responsibility
  • Proficient use of MS products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) and other computer software used in the construction industry
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial to the success of the Healthcare Project Manager
