Summary:
Meta is seeking a forward thinking, experienced Front End Data Science Developer to join the Data Center Data Science Team. This team owns the data engineering, business intelligence, advanced analytics and Quantitative Software Development for the entire Infrastructure Data Center organization. This is a Front end development role using the latest technologies and frameworks in React JS, PHP, GraphQL, etc. Prior knowledge in user interfaces for applied Analytics is a plus and Machine Learning is a plus. Help build Metas world class data centers & empower them by building applications in partnership with our data science team to allow our facilities and sites to become autonomous and better serve over billions of people globally!The candidate we seek has a strong domain expertise in Web Development in addition to a solid engineering foundation. Has multiple years of experience building complex web applications. Is passionate about building internal customer focused Data Centric Products and has high attention to detail. The ideal candidate should have a strong Front end software architecture background and be comfortable working independently with little supervision. They should also be a natural collaborator, able to distill the needs of stakeholders and subject matter experts and translate these into long-term engineering solutions.

Front End Data Science Developer Responsibilities:
Develop, Design, create, modify and/or test web based data focused software applications based on data analytics which allow our data center pre-ops and operations teams to be more efficient in planning, designing, building and operating the data centers
Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications
Implement features and user interfaces to optimize performance of internal customer-facing Data Science products such as Machine learning and Optimization techniques
Collaborate with Technical Program Managers, Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Operational and engineering teams in order to implement, verify and iterate on the internal customer facing Data Science products being developed
Help scale and optimize our overall data center capacity by developing cutting edge Analytics software solutions which improve efficiency and bring automation to our data centers
Identify and resolve performance and User interface scalability issues
Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Minimum Qualifications:

BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems or other related engineering field
5+ years experience designing and building software applications
JavaScript, React (React.JS or React Native)
Web technologies: HTML and CSS
Create reusable and high-performance user interface components
Object Oriented JavaScript Frameworks, such as Prototype JS, MooTools, or Dojo
Architectural design for complex front-end systems
Performance debugging and benchmarking
Building web applications
Implement automated testing for front-end code
Knowledge in stats, data visualization and user interfacing and configuration of ML & Optimization models
Proven experience translating business requirements into software requirements and explaining the systems design
Proven experience working effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience managing multiple projects within the same time schedule and time management experience
Experience working individually as well as in groups on a regular basis

$104,000/year to $152,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
