Current Need

We are searching for a Senior Manager – Technical Product Management in Irving, TX- or Jacksonville, FL to join the team.

Position Description and Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading a team of technical product owners that develop technical functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, API specifications and define system behaviors using design and future forward thinking with best-in-class customer first mindset. This team will support multiple agile teams that develop technology solutions across a suite of customer facing Enterprise Scale Reporting and Analytics applications at McKesson.
  • The candidate should be an expert on various delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Hybrid etc and support the best model that suits the organization needs

  • The candidate will be responsible for leading PI planning sessions, requirement analysis, impact analysis, estimates and provide key inputs to drive prioritization and support technology delivery in a timely manner

  • Champion the needs of business teams, customers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the development process; ensure what is delivered meets the original objectives, goals and KPIs

  • The candidate should be a strategic thinker with a creative and customer first mindset that can partner and collaborate with key stakeholders across business segments, internal groups, and vendors

  • This person will lead various projects and initiatives across multiple applications

  • The candidate should maintain and grow a deep knowledge and functional expertise of the supported technology including industry best practices for enterprise development and deployment

  • Attention to detail, stakeholder collaboration/communication, ability to create, document, and drive continuous improvement are essential

  • The candidate should be a change agent to drive new ways of working and operating model. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and should be able to work with people at various levels and communicate project status simultaneously

  • Applicants also must have a good balance of team leadership skills along with hands-on experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, Webex, JIRA and others

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The candidate should have supervisory experience and will be responsible for hiring and retaining the best talent, set goals and manage performance, coach/mentor, and drive career development of employees. The candidate should have the experience to lead a team of geographically distributed employees and contractors in an onsite/offshore environment.

  • Intermediate/advanced project/program management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work with customers to prioritize issues & communicate status
  • Self-starter, capable of seeing projects/fixes through to completion
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively across multiple deliverables
  • Effective analytical, business analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize/communicate conflicting demands
  • Ability to design and implement solutions
  • Maintain and grow a deep knowledge of the business and the stakeholder needs and constraints

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 8-10+ years of experience
  • 4+ years' experience as Technical Product Owner or related field required
  • 3+ years' experience working in an agile environment preferred
  • SAFe certification preferred
  • Supervisory experience required
