The Role

Are you passionate about problem solving and digging into layers of data to assess its quality and meaning? As a Data Analyst in the Data and Analytics Technology group, you will have the opportunity to work with other data analysts and multiple business partners across various prioritized initiatives. This position requires proven analytical skills, superb communication skills and the ability to work on different projects with diverse scope, complex business and technical requirements in a multi-platform and highly integrated data environment.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 2-5 years experience, preferably in data-centric role(s) focused on analysis and delivery
  • Proven experience researching, optimizing, developing, and authoring solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to sophisticated software systems
  • Meticulous. Known for your accuracy, clarity, and elimination of ambiguity
  • Working knowledge of SQL or Python and are able to independently wrangle datasets to obtain valuable insights.
  • Effective communicator with a strong ability to cultivate relationships
  • Passion for continuous learning and mastering new skills
  • Experience with cloud native data warehousing and data lake solutions using Snowflake is a plus

The Team

As one of the squad's IT data analyst, you will be encouraged to quickly gain understanding of the various data lakes on Fidelitys data platform. The squad is within the Business Intelligence Transformation product area, whose mission is to enable data driven decision making across Fidelity Institutional. Squad members come together from their role-centric chapters and are staffed to the Squad to accomplish the work. A persistent, collaborative bunch, the Squad accepts priorities from their Squad lead, but has autonomy over how they accomplish the goal of each sprint.
