Data Engineer
Responsibilities:
Engineer and secure production-grade data service solutions that are scalable and highly available either through self-managed or Cloud native platforms.
Develop Security & integration components for data extraction, & internal /external application integration
Develop software according to best practices using modern SDLC that enables CI/CD and favors automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure and policy as code
Work with technology leadership to identify, implement new technologies and techniques that can improve our overall platform performance and ultimate customer experience.
Work independently and be responsible for the unit testing of various data as services platform components.
Author technical design documentation in adherence to business, source system, target system, and solution architecture requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.
At least 1 years experience building, testing and delivering data integration, data engineering service and data platform solutions to a production environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with data warehouse integration and data engineering using real-time messaging and batch ETL/ELT in the data management discipline.
Working experience using cloud environments (Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud/Amazon AWS) or other cloud services
Previous experience using various scripting tools and programming languages
Good experience using Python language. Other languages like Java/Scala are nice to have
Experience using technologies such as Spark, Kafka, and Snowflake/Redshift
Good working understanding and experience with relational and non-relational database technologies and concepts like MySQL, Postgres along with ACID/CAP theorems
Exposure to Apache Airflow is nice to have
Knowledge and experience with automated test tools and techniques including test-driven development, and automated acceptance testing.
Debugging skills and ability to adapt to any new technologies with ease
Understanding of cloud architecture and Big Data fundamentals
Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, EDI X12
Knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle, EMRs, practice management systems
Adaptable and possess willing to learn attitude
Possess a good team culture
