The Accountant/Systems & Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining databases and systems such as Dodeca and Essbase while managing assigned accounting tasks. Interpersonal skills and a desire to learn will be key as this role will require collaboration and communication with members of accounting as well as other teams at Continental Mills. The primary responsibilities of this role are to perform day to day maintenance/updating of data within our accounting & finance systems as well as complete reoccurring corporate accounting tasks/processes.

Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.

  • Accounting
    • Complete month end tasks as assigned, which could include, but not limited to: Trade reconciliation, royalties calculations, coupon reconciliation, running reports and posting miscellanies journal entries
    • Update and distribute assigned reports
    • Assist with fixed asset accounting and reporting
    • Assist with audits, censuses, year-end close and new year setups
    • Complete miscellaneous journal entries and accounting tasks assigned by manager or senior accountant
  • Systems/Data Integrity:
    • Responsible for the maintenance of the Essbase application, which includes recurring monthly updates, improvements to existing cubes and general problem solving when issues arise
    • Assist with the administration of the Dodeca Spreadsheet Management System by managing securities, maintaining current reports and provide general problems solving when issues arise
    • Develops and maintains an intimate knowledge of enterprise accounting system and function as a super-user in the department
    • Maintains miscellaneous finance & accounting systems, including but not limited to: Sage FAS, Commissions Database, Royalties Database, Month End Reporting Systems, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.
    • Help maintain and ensure accuracy of data within financial/accounting systems
    • Responsible for processing and maintaining accurate, consistent, and timely enterprise system master file data in coordination with the Sr Master Data Integrity Analyst

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • 3+ Years of Accounting or related experience
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Experience with other financial software such as Essbase, Dodeca preferred
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
