Job Summary

• Under broad direction and supervision, develops, maintains, and enhances client systems as well as designs and develops new features.

  Responsible for ensuring the business makes better decisions through collection and usage of data.

  Ensures business data and analysis requirements are met by properly applying ETL and data engineering concepts.

  Work on analytics projects using Python and API programming skills.

  Ability to design, develop and deliver business intelligence solutions using visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, etc.

  
  


• 
  

  A good understanding of cloud environments and deploying enterprise scale applications in support of our work with the client.

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge and understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is plus.

  
  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs ad-hoc, strategic analysis of structured and unstructured data across multiple data sources for the real estate portfolio of a large technology company in the Silicon Valley.

  
  


• 
  

  Develops data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse, and standardize data (ETL) to generate insights and address reporting needs.

  
  


• 
  

  Exhibits analytical rigor, judgment, and ability to present a comprehensive 'data story' to multiple levels of the organization. Is well versed in data visualization and UX techniques that encourages fact-based, productive discussions.

  
  


• 
  

  Utilizes programming and analytical tools, including open source programs including advanced to intermediate SQL or similar relational database tools to formulate models and/or extract insights.

  
  


• 
  

  Identifies and troubleshoots data integration and integrity issues in cooperation with the appropriate CBRE business units; Designs workflows and procedures.

  
  


• 
  

  Develops ad-hoc analytics and reporting based on analysis of existing data sources, utilizing a variety of tools like Tableau, Looker, etc.

  
  


• 
  

  Work on cloud engineering projects involving Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

  
  


• 
  

  Good understanding and working experience of Google Big Query, Pub Sub, Dataflow, Document AI, NLP, BigTable, ML, and others is a plus.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field such as information systems, mathematics, or computer science or equivalent work experience. Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. Typically has 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Consideration given to equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications and/or Licenses

Certifications related to Google Cloud are considered a plus but not required.

Communication Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

Financial Knowledge

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

Other Skills and/or Abilities

Database-backed Java web development experience is required; strong preference for substantial jQuery experience.

Experience with web mapping tools and spatial databases is a big plus.

Scope of Responsibility

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause moderate impact to department or damage to a client engagement.

The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidates skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBREs applicable benefit program.

The minimum salary for the Sr Software Engineer position is $113,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr Software Engineer position is $150,600 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidates skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBREs applicable benefit program.

The minimum salary for the Sr Software Engineer position is $104,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr Software Engineer position is $138,600 annually. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBREs applicable benefit program.
