Brown & Brown is seeking an Account Executive to join their Employee Benefits team in Nashville, TN!

Serves as strategic advisor and overall client service leader for a portfolio of middle to large market clients (generally, 500-5,000 lives). Manages client service quality and overall leadership of client service needs. Leads assigned client account team to ensure high quality service for $1M+ client portfolio. Seeks additional new business growth opportunities within existing portfolio. Partners with Consultants/Producers as EB subject matter expert on new business pursuits as needed.

What Youll Do

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as the EB subject matter expert and overall strategic adviser on a $1M+ portfolio of clients
  • Partner with Producers and other Sales Professionals to assist on new business pursuits as the employee benefits expert
  • Prepare new business strategies in collaboration with Consultants/Producers, including proposals and presentations for new client opportunities
  • Manage the client relationship to expand the scope and scale of existing client portfolio
  • Review and manage annual service calendar and overall stewardship of all client projects and service needs
  • Consult with client on plan design, contributions, strategy, compliance, and other topics related to their benefit program
  • Manage renewals and open enrollments, completing appropriate implementation paperwork and ensuring contracts are set up correctly
  • Direct and lead other Account Teammates as needed for day-to-day execution of client projects and requirements
  • Ensure client satisfaction and overall client profitability

What Youll Need

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Current state Life and Health license
  • 5-7 years of experience as an employee benefits consultant
  • Knowledge of customer service functions such as rating, marketing, claims handling and coverage information
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective and efficient use of technology for organization and client presentations
  • This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position
