Front End Designer (Remote Opportunity)

Position Overview

As the Front-End Designer, youll assist on all aspects of multimedia asset development. You will work alongside other designers and production specialists to develop functional creative for a variety of clients and mediums including, but not limited to websites, landing pages, email, social media, sales support, and internal branding. You will also stay up-to-date on industry best practices and advancements to advise and implement into the design, development and production process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Marketing team and other stakeholders (Content, Strategy, Digital, SEO, etc.) to iterate on new features and optimizations of web assets
  • Help improve the overall experience and performance of marketing landing pages through improvements in front-end features
  • Develop responsive websites and emails that perform across multiple devices and email clients
  • Assist in the development of marketing assets (print materials, social media assets, etc.)
  • Advise on role-specific standards including, but not limited to file-naming conventions, workflows, processes, software versioning, plug-in utilization, and software pre-sets
  • Escalate staffing, workload, and asset issues to production manager(s)
  • Assist with the review of evaluation studies to determine how to best improve the team's products and results

Knowledge & Skills

  • A passion for great design.
  • A drive to craft innovative educational experiences
  • Creativity in problem solving
  • JS, CSS3, and HTML5 fundamentals with experience in utilizing and extending front-end frameworks
  • Experience with A/B testing tools like Google Optimize, Optimizely, or VWO
  • Experience with email testing tools like Email on Acid or Litmus
  • Experience using design prototyping tools like Sketch, XD, or Figma
  • Knowledge of information architecture, interaction design, and user-centered design
  • Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems
  • Ability to work in stressful environments with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of current web accessibility standards and requirements
  • Understanding of marketing concepts such as conversion, lead generation, and buyer journeys
  • Must work well independently and as part of a cross-functional team

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

  • Marketo experience
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles
  • Experience in development of online learning products
  • WordPress experience
