Our core remit is to ensure that delivery teams within Global Infrastructure (GI) have the capabilities and directional guidance necessary to provide the development community with a unified - outcome-driven - and developer-centric (API-driven) offering model for infrastructure components. The GIDX team has a strong alignment with the Developer Experience strategy team under Enterprise Architecture (EA) - and aims to reflect their approach and strategy for DX within the GI division.Common tasks in this team include - but are not limited to - defining the metrics - measures and service publication standards to which all delivery teams in Global Infrastructure are expected to adhere - facilitating the evaluation of new approaches to infrastructure modernization - and the socialization of best practices for automation and self-servicing. Members of this team are expected to demonstrate a broad understanding and/or awareness of open-source development practices - frameworks - and technologies as the products we represent span a large domain.Responsibilities: Liaise with GI teams on DX-oriented tasks that improve the applicability and usability of infrastructure products and services - so that they may be incorporated into our product delivery roadmaps. Augment Product Manager (PdM) and/or Release Train Engineer (RTE) responsibilities for teams within Global Infrastructure - particularly in areas with new and emerging products that improve developer experience but do not yet have formal coverage. Enhance developer-facing learning capabilities by increasing the cohesion and alignment of existing learning and development (L&D) programs offered within Technology more broadly with those present within the Global Infrastructure L&D portfolio. Align with specific Unit CIO (business unit) developer groups to understand DX-value-added customer journeys - and advocate for the prioritization of said journeys within GI. Prepare presentations - reports - and dashboards to share progress towards DX goals with leadership - in addition to the formulation of executive-level strategies - product spotlights - and business cases for new capabilities that enhance DX. Develop innovative mechanisms for measuring and trending the improvement of DX for infrastructure products/services - whether it be through more subjective measures such as customer sentiment - or more objective measures such as new LCM API capabilities. Work with product managers across Global Infrastructure - along with partner team product managers and engineers outside of GI - on the development and coordination of cross-departmental roadmaps. Create developer-facing documentation & communication plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy - and that the message to developers about experience and availability of net-new capabilities is effectively conveyed and well-received. Be the point of contact for developers and key application stakeholders via Slack - email - and Webex calls.Organizational Context:Reports to the Director in charge of developer experiencefor Global Infrastructure - within the Technology Division. Find your place in technology on #TeamAmexQualificationsEducation & Experience: 4 years of demonstrated ability in Product Management with proven track record in defining winning product constructs and delivering a product vision and strategythat has yielded both technical experience with said product - as well as experience developing and evolving said product to bring better DX - UX - and/or end-user functionality to customers. Strong communicator who is well-organized and exhibits a customer-service mindset with high energy and a results-driven attitude. Proven track record managing large - complex features or products with multiple partners. Ability to distill a complex set of requirements into well-defined deliverables - and to explain technical concepts in a well-articulated manner. Ability to think strategically while also executing tactically - along with the wisdom to know the difference and when to perform each. Strong understanding of Agile methodology and SDLC practices that drive iterative and fast-paced software development/delivery. Competency in select data-driven processes/tools commonly used for enterprise decisioning(Splunk - Confluence - JIRA - Rally - ServiceNow - etc.) General awareness of the developer tooling ecosystem (including CICD) and core developer/SRE facilities such as observability - monitoring - and change management systems.
