AllGear Digital seeks a Digital Media Sales Associate to support sales for its owned-and-operated suite of active-lifestyle and outdoor-adventure media properties including GearJunkie.com, TheInertia.com, Bikerumor.com, iRunFar.com and more. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about the outdoors, curious about the digital media industry, and eager to provide sales support while also managing your own client list. You'll be an essential part of our sales team, responding to inbound advertising requests, building client relationships, creating proposals, and contributing to revenue growth. This is a full-time position, hybrid with our Minneapolis, MN office. It is commission eligible.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist the sales team in identifying potential clients, preparing sales materials, conducting client and market research, and more
  • Provide prompt email/phone follow up to inbound inquiries and operate efficiently to qualify (or disqualify) leads
  • Manage your own client list, nurturing relationships, understanding client needs, and helping them achieve their advertising and marketing goals
  • Prospect for new clients
  • Sell traditional and custom digital advertising (display media, content, video, podcast, giveaways, sponsorships, social media, e-news, live activations, etc.), meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Utilize consultative sales methods: Converse with clients via email and phone to determine upcoming campaigns or product launches, KPIs, timing, and budget
  • Work closely with the campaign management and content teams to develop creative solutions for clients, aligning with the objectives of our portfolio
  • Build, propose, and close integrated digital media campaigns across AllGear Digitals media properties
  • Generate direct sales revenue
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with clients, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns
  • Effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple advertising requests in a deadline-driven environment
  • Properly track all account activity in our CRM
  • Build & execute an automated marketing strategy
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, advertising strategies, and emerging technologies in the digital media sales landscape
  • Stay curious, explore new ideas, and continuously improve your sales skills.


Requirements:

  • 2 years sales experience (digital media sales experience preferred)
  • Solid understanding of digital advertising and marketing, especially publisher-direct advertising
  • A keen ability to see opportunities, understands needs, create solutions, set proper expectations and close deals
  • Excellent interpersonal and email communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clients and internal partners
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience working with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Brand partner and agency connections that could be leveraged for AllGear Digital preferred
  • Experience using research and marketing to craft and deliver unique proposals/presentations preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM preferred
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn & hustle
  • Passion for the outdoor lifestyle, industry and brands
