Our location in Austin, TX currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Data Analyst.

The role of the Sr. Data Analyst for the Integrated Heart Failure Solutions team will be responsible for managing and modeling large sets of data that will enable key internal and external stakeholders to assess performance and efficacy of solutions and programs.

In this role you are the primary leader for data assessment of program implementations and will liaise with the Consultant and Implementation teams during customer interactions focused on program analytics. The analyst will also work with commercial sales teams to provide market insights to drive customer identification and market growth. The Data Analyst will be responsible for obtaining and analyzing data associated with customer engagements, ascertaining the clinical and economic outcomes, and helping inform the design of future initiatives that align Abbotts IHFS strategy, products, and solutions more closely and holistically with our customers strategic objectives.


  • Collect and analyze data at key points during solution implementation to gain insight into the clinical and economic outcomes and present analysis to customer and field consultant team
  • Work across functions within the business to develop tools and programs that support and enable access to and use of solutions by healthcare providers.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with internal Abbott stakeholders including but not limited to Field Consultants, Implementation Program Managers and Commercial Sales teams.
  • Participate in assigned cross-departmental meetings and conference calls for the purpose of providing input and guidance regarding market dynamics, performance metrics, system enhancement projects and issues needing focus, attention and action.
  • Collect, manipulate and analyze data from multiple data sources to create easy to interpret models and obtain answers to augment future business processes.
  • Utilize multiple business systems to enter, extract and correct data. Interact with internal and external customers, as needed, to understand and review data issues and maintain data integrity used in commercial operations.
  • Work with minimal supervision on cross-functional teams and liaison with Abbotts broader therapy teams (internal and field-based) as needed.
  • Maintain expertise on the potential impact of key health policy and macroeconomic changes including, but not limited to, value-based purchasing, population health, and outcomes related initiatives and its impact on future solutions pilots.
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings and conference calls for the purpose of providing input and guidance on outcomes data, patient and provider user experience, value messaging, and future program strategy.



  • BA/BS in Finance, Data Science, or Business Analytics
  • 7+ years of finance and/or healthcare data analytics.
  • Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel Pivot tables and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of complex and technical information.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously, prioritize and meet deadlines in timely manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Experience communicating with technical areas and business areas for a full and complete understanding of project outcomes and next steps.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to manage work that ensures successful project delivery to internal and external Abbott Customers.
  • Travel up to 25%.
